ANCESTRAL PERCUSSION
Percussion is one of the oldest and most direct forms of musical expression.
With Tribal, we wanted to capture this fundamental connection between people, rhythm and natural materials.
The sound of hands, sticks, wood, skin and metal. Simple sounds and materials that have been used to create rhythm for thousands of years.
For this, we recorded a wide collection of drums, brushes, shakers, chimes and wooden objects, focusing on a direct sound, strong attacks and natural resonance.
The library includes 43 Instruments, ranging from deep low drums and resonant shaker drums to dry sticks, brushes and bright chimes.
Additionally, we included 19 Multis that combine the Instruments in different ways to create layered drums, earthy percussion ensembles and rhythmic textures.
All Instruments include separate Close and Room microphone positions and have been mixed and tweaked carefully to achieve a dry, punchy and natural sound that blends into a mix easily.
