VOL: Changes the volume of the whole instrument
FILTER (bigger knob): A filter that independent from the filter for the adsr, affects the whole instrument
(SATURATE): Multieffect knob, effect and name varies from patch to patch
(WIDEN): Multieffect knob, effect and name varies from patch to patch
REVERB: Reverb amount, after the delay in the signal chain
VELOCITY: Sets how velocity affects volume
ADSR SLIDERS: Sets Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release Time
FILTER (smaller knob): Sets how much the build in filter reacts to the ADSR.
DELAY: Delay amount, before the reverb in the signal chain

For Artefakt, each preset has its own nki file.
You can either simply open the folder containing Artefakt, open the folder "Patches", and drag them into Kontakt:

When you have Artefakt open, you can also browse through presets by using the arrow buttons:
